The Brava Awards created by SmartCEO, is a program which celebrates high-impact female business leaders in three categories: CEOs, Executive Directors of Nonprofits, and C-suite executives. Brava award winners combine their irrepressible entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to the community, and are exemplary leaders of both their companies and their communities. They encourage local philanthropy, mentor up-and-coming leaders and set their companies on the path to tremendous growth.

Symphony Placements, a full service flexible staffing and human resource solutions company, located in Baltimore County announces their Founder and CEO Wanda Smith is a finalist for the second consecutive year for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur Of the Year Award in the Maryland Region.
The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs in various regions across the nation who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, leadership, adversity, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and community.
Wanda Smith delivered a powerful presentation to a group of Seniors at Towson University October 1, 2015 on the Topic of Business Leadership and Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. The class entitled “Professional Experience” instructed by Professor Sal Correnti has invited local leaders and entrepreneurs to speak on real life experiences and how the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People guided and shaped their accomplishments and challenges.
As sighted by statistics in the labor force index provided by The American Staffing Association, since the 2008-2010 recessions, the number of temporary or contingent jobs has outpaced the growth in core positions by a ratio of 2-to-1, a labor trend poised to be replicated thru 2020.
For some companies these types of predictions create discomfort and angst. For others, they earmark opportunities to differentiate themselves in the marketplace.
If current trends hold up and flexible workforce solutions become the staffing strategies of choice, it is important to ask just how forward thinking your company has become in terms of embracing this shift in workforce demographics.
