Trends influence the ways we find, recruit, and retain employees, and they change almost on a yearly basis. After all, that’s why they’re called trends. Successful companies should keep an eye on these trends to ensure they’re hiring and retaining the very best talent in their industry. Here are some of the most popular hiring trends this year.
Generation Z for Internships
Many companies are focused on hiring Millennials for fresh talent. Millennials are soon to overtake Baby Boomers in numbers. While they make a great addition to any mid-career level team, many companies are looking to Generation Z (born between 1994 and 2010) for internships. Some companies are recruiting high school students for internships. While Millennials have witnessed the emergence and evolution of technology, Generation Z kids have essentially grown up with an iPhone in their hands.
Whether you have freshly relocated to a new city or completed your undergrad degree, the job market poses unique challenges to every individual. Not knowing where to begin is often the most difficult part. If you’re new to a city or new to a job market, it can be overwhelming to try and map out career avenues on your own. With all the confusion of learning a new location, making new connections, and trying to pay your rent in the meantime, finding a long-term career can seem like a far-off fairy tale. However, it doesn’t have to be that way. Staffing agencies offer a lot of benefits, especially for newcomers in the job market.

The Foundation helps keep families’ spirits high by arranging programming and personal touches that make lasting memories for families throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and portions of the Midwest. To support their efforts, Symphony Placements supports the following events:
On April 18, Symphony Placements sponsored a “Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day!” Employees donated two pairs of pajamas to Casey Cares and were allowed to wear their own pajamas to work! Even Wanda’s dog, Barney Rubble, joined in the fun!
